Japan - LA Style!

A few days ago Rob and I were in the area and decided to check out Little Tokyo since we love all things Japanese. Our first stop - lunch! Rob enjoyed a bowl of Don. Rob's sea life of choice? Octopus, tuna, and salmon over rice.

We also stopped in the grocery store where we picked up a few things - Udon noodles, those yummy pancake-esque things stuffed with red bean paste, and seaweed for sushi. There was a giant selection of sake too. My favorite sake? Walking through the market as we made our way to Sensoji Temple in Tokyo. Someone was selling "hot sake" that was perfect for a chilly Winter day.

We decided to continue with the Japanese-themed day and make sushi for dinner. Actually, there was no "we" about it - Rob did it all. When we got married we got a sushi making kit as a gift. We finally put it to use. This was an intense process! You even cook the rice differently as you want it to stick, but not be sticky. Tricky indeed.

The finished product was perfect and delicious!!

Ready for Boarding, Bitches?

This past Thursday I had the extreme pleasure of seeing Pam Ann during her LA layover with Rob and some of my closest super stew friends! We even got upgraded to the Orchestra section, still in Economy, but these tickets weren't free!! Plus, Shiann and I were stoked we didn't have to wait in line for the bathroom. At all. The line for the boys... that's another story. Sorry Rob, welcome to our world!

Unless you're in the aviation community, more specifically a flight attendant, even more specific, a gay male flight attendant, you might not be familiar with who Pam Ann is. Pam Ann is an Australian comedienne stewardess. She hilarious. She's campy. She loves her gays. And she has something to say about every single airline there is!

Jorge and some queens at the show!

Sammy being silly on stage!

And strutting his stuff for Alaska Airlines!

We had so much fun and it's been a long time since Rob or I have laughed that hard. It was very much needed!
