A few weeks ago, after Christian finished not napping, we decided to take a trip to the Koko Crater Botanical Gardens. I had only once or twice seen the name on a map, so I knew it existed, but not much else. Rob's mom mentioned we should check it out but warned us that we were going to get dirty. Dirt?? Christian was stoked!
The garden has a 2 mile loop that I had planned to walk with Christian in the BOB. I say BOB not to be fancy but because the BOB can handle almost any type of terrain whereas a regular stroller can be iffy. About .00025 miles into it, I knew it wasn't gonna happen. The loop was entirely dirt and rocks and no. So we ran around the Plumeria Grove, which was quite lovely. Plumeria is most definitely my favorite flower/tree, and they had a large variety of colors. And they smell delicious... although nothing like what Bath and Body Works would have you think it smells like. Christian had fun picking flowers and giving them to me, and then taking them back. He also thoroughly enjoyed kicking the dirt as high as it could go.
Either way, it was great way to kill an hour or two before hitting up Costlo (you and I know it as Costco) and one day I'd like to check out the whole thing... with Christian in the backpack. And preferably after an actual nap that includes sleep, not this "quiet time" shenanigans.
